For the purposes of an interstate adoption placement, the term âjurisdictionâ as used in Article 5 of the Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children means âjurisdiction over or legal responsibility for the child.â It is the intent of the Legislature that this section make a technical clarification to the Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children and not a substantive change.
