Upon certification of the commission, the director shall contact, by mail, every producer and grower-handler in each district and every shipper or shall call meetings of producers and grower-handlers in each district for the purpose of nominating and electing persons for appointment to the commission . All producers, grower-handlers, and shippers on the directorâs list shall be given written notice of any meeting at least 15 days prior to the meeting date.
