The director and the commissioner of each county acting under the supervision of the director may do all of the following: (a) Cooperate with seed-certifying agencies which are officially recognized under the provisions of this chapter. (b) Supervise the harvesting, cleaning, and packaging of any seed which is eligible for certification, and the affixing of labels and seals to it. (c) Examine, sample, and test such seeds. (d) Perform such other services as may be necessary to maintain the identity and quality of certified seed.
