(a) Whenever a student transfers from one community college or public or private institution of postsecondary education to another within the state, appropriate records or a copy of appropriate records shall be transferred by the former community college, or college or university upon a request from the student. Any community college, college, or university making a transfer of these records shall notify the student of the studentâs right to receive a copy of the record and the studentâs right to a hearing to challenge the content of the record. (b) The board of governors may adopt rules and regulations concerning the transfer of records pursuant to subdivision (a) to, from, or between colleges under its jurisdiction. (c) Using available funding apportioned to their community college district pursuant to Section 84750.4, community colleges enrolling high school pupils through dual or concurrent enrollment pursuant to Sections 48800 and 76001, shall use eTranscript California, also referred to as âeTranscriptCA,â or its successor system, to enable the uniform integration of the pupilâs completed courses and grades received into the pupilâs universal and electronic high school transcript that is housed on the CaliforniaColleges.edu platform.
