Except as otherwise provided pursuant to Section 44210, upon the expiration of the term of office of an appointive member of the commission, the memberâs successor shall be appointed for a term of four years. No person shall be appointed by the Governor to serve more than two consecutive full terms. Prior service on the commission for a term of less than three years resulting from an initial appointment or an appointment for the remainder of an unexpired term shall not be counted as a full term.
