(a) Sections 42238.051 and 42238.052 do not apply to resident pupils in charter schools operating under the districtwide charter of a school district that has converted all of its schools to charter status pursuant to Section 47606. (b) For purposes of this section, âresident pupilsâ means pupils who reside in, and are otherwise eligible to attend, a school in the specified school district.
