The board shall perform any other acts necessary for the administration of the system and the plan in carrying into effect the provisions of this part and Part 14 (commencing with Section 26000), which may include, but shall not be limited to, requesting the following information from a member, participant, or beneficiary: (a) Financial statements, certified copies of state and federal income tax records, or evidence of financial status. (b) Employment, legal, or medical documentation.
