Except as provided in Section 17326, on or after July 1, 1987, construction of a private school structure shall not commence unless the structureâs drawings and specifications comply with the provisions of this article and the requirements prescribed by the enforcement agency, and approval of those drawings and specifications has been obtained from the enforcement agency.
