(a) For the purposes of this article, “reconfiguration” means any modification of a structure of any age that will enhance the educational opportunities for pupils in existing middle and high schools in order to provide them with the skills and knowledge necessary for high-demand technical careers. (b) “Reconfiguration” may include limited new construction necessary to accommodate the reconfiguration.
