(a) As used in this chapter: (1) âState-aided districtâ means a district to which an apportionment has been made under this chapter. (2) âAcquiring districtâ means a district in which all or a part of, a state-aided district or an applicant district has been included. (3) âOriginal districtâ means a state-aided or applicant district included in whole or in part in an acquiring district. (b) For the purposes of this article as it applies to an original district or to an acquiring district, the effective date of any change of boundaries, annexation, formation of a new district, or other reorganization shall be the date the action became effective for the purposes of Section 4060.
