As used in this chapter: (a) âBoardâ means the State Allocation Board. (b) âDirectorâ means the Director of Education for kindergarten and grades 1 to 12, inclusive. (c) âProjectâ means the purposes for which a school district has applied for an apportionment under this chapter. (d) âGrade level maintained by a districtâ means either of the following: (1) The kindergarten, if any, and grades 1 to 6, inclusive, or grades 1 to 8, inclusive, maintained by an elementary school district or a unified school district. (2) Grades 7 to 12, inclusive, grades 9 to 12, inclusive, or grades 7 to 10, inclusive, maintained by a high school district or unified school district. (e) âApportionmentâ means an apportionment made under this chapter unless the context otherwise requires.
