As used in this chapter: (a) “Board” means the State Allocation Board. (b) “Director” means the Director of Education for kindergarten and grades 1 to 12, inclusive. (c) “Project” means the purposes for which a school district has applied for an apportionment under this chapter. (d) “Grade level maintained by a district” means either of the following: (1) The kindergarten, if any, and grades 1 to 6, inclusive, or grades 1 to 8, inclusive, maintained by an elementary school district or a unified school district. (2) Grades 7 to 12, inclusive, grades 9 to 12, inclusive, or grades 7 to 10, inclusive, maintained by a high school district or unified school district. (e) “Apportionment” means an apportionment made under this chapter unless the context otherwise requires.
