âAccredited investorâ means a person who is defined in Section 2(a)(15) of the Securities Act of 1933, or any other person that the Securities and Exchange Commission may so designate by rule, regulation, or order, who, by purchasing the securities of a licensee, provides the investment funds with which the licensee will provide financial assistance to small business firms.
