All humane societies and societies for the prevention of cruelty to animals, and all humane officers, shall be in full compliance with Section 14502 on or before January 1, 2012. Notwithstanding any other provision of this part, a level 1 or level 2 humane officer confirmed prior to January 1, 2012, shall not be required to seek a new court order confirming his or her appointment. However, a level 2 humane officer shall provide proof of compliance with subparagraph (E) of paragraph (2) of subdivision (h) of Section 14502 by filing a certificate of compliance with the Department of Justice on or before January 1, 2012, or that humane officerâs appointment shall be immediately revoked.
