As used in this title: (a) âActionâ includes a civil action and a special proceeding of a civil nature. (b) âCourtâ means the trial court in which the action is pending, unless otherwise specified. (c) âDocumentâ and âwritingâ mean a writing, as defined in Section 250 of the Evidence Code. (d) âElectronicâ means relating to technology having electrical, digital, magnetic, wireless, optical, electromagnetic, or similar capabilities. (e) âElectronically stored informationâ means information that is stored in an electronic medium.
