For purposes of this chapter, âwood preservativeâ means any coating formulated to protect wood surfaces from deterioration caused by insects, fungus, rot, and decay and which contains a wood preservative chemical that is registered with the Department of Pesticide Regulation and the United States Environmental Protection Agency.
