If an applicant for licensure as a professional engineer, for certification as an engineer-in-training, or for authorization to use the title âstructural engineerâ or âsoil engineerâ is found by the board to lack the qualifications required for admission to the examination for such licensure, certification, or authorization, the board may, in accordance with the provisions of Section 158 of this code, refund to them their examination fee.
