(a) Notwithstanding any other provision of law, in Los Angeles County appointments made by judges of the superior court shall be for a term of four years, and appointments made by the board of supervisors of the county shall be for a term of two years. (b) The terms of no more than three judge-appointed members shall expire in the same year. (c) The term of one member appointed by the board of supervisors shall expire each year.
