(a) The selection of the chair and vice chair of the board shall be made by appointment of the Supreme Court. (b) The chair and the vice chair shall each be appointed for a term not to exceed two years. The chair and vice chair shall assume the duties of their respective offices at the conclusion of the September meeting following their appointment. The chair and vice chair shall not serve more than two terms, except that a chair or vice chair who is appointed to fill a vacancy for the balance of a term is eligible to serve two full terms in addition to the remainder of the term for which they were appointed.
