For purposes of this article the following terms shall have the following meanings: (a) “Correctional clinic” means a primary care clinic, as referred to in subdivision (b) of Section 1206 of the Health and Safety Code, conducted, maintained, or operated by the state to provide health care to eligible patients of the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. (b) “Chief executive officer” means the highest ranking health care administrator at a correctional institution. (c) “Chief medical executive” means a physician and surgeon acting in the capacity of medical director within the correctional institution. (d) “Chief nurse executive” means the highest ranking nurse within the correctional institution. (e) “Licensed correctional clinic” means a correctional clinic that is licensed pursuant to this article. (f) “Supervising dentist” means the highest ranking dentist within the correctional institution.
