(a) A pharmacy may, at a patientâs request, repackage a drug previously dispensed to the patient or to the patientâs agent pursuant to a prescription. (b) Any pharmacy providing repackaging services shall have in place policies and procedures for repackaging these drugs and shall label the repackaged prescription container with the following: (1) All the information required by Section 4076. (2) The name and address of the pharmacy repackaging the drug and the name and address of the pharmacy that initially dispensed the drug to the patient. (c) The repackaging pharmacy and the pharmacy that initially dispensed the drug shall only be liable for its own actions in providing the drug to the patient or the patientâs agent.
