All examinations shall be practical in character, designed to ascertain applicantsâ fitness to practice the profession of optometry and conducted in the English language. The board may by rule or regulation accept the examination given by other agencies or organizations which it deems equivalent to the examination required to determine an applicantâs fitness to practice optometry.
