(a) Within 60 days following January 1, 1998, the board shall adopt regulations setting forth educational requirements. To develop these regulations, the board shall update the educational requirements set forth in Sections 2512.5, 2513, and 2514. These updated sections shall reflect national standards for the practice of midwifery and shall be subject to public hearings prior to adoption. The board shall review and update the regulations every two years. (b) The board shall adopt the written examination required by this article by July 1, 1994.
