If the department hires a third-party consultant to assess the departmentâs operations, the department shall, promptly upon receipt of the consultantâs final report on that assessment, submit that report to the appropriate policy committees of the Legislature after omitting any information that is not subject to disclosure under the California Public Records Act (Division 10 (commencing with Section 7920.000) of Title 1 of the Government Code).
