Except as to communications described in paragraph (2) of subdivision (n) of Section 11713.1 of the Vehicle Code, it is unlawful for any person to use the terms âinvoice,â âdealer invoice,â âwholesale price,â or similar terms that refer to a dealerâs cost for a motor vehicle in an advertisement for the sale or lease of a vehicle, or advertise that the selling price of a vehicle is above, below, or at either of the following: (a) The manufacturerâs or distributorâs invoice or selling price to a dealer. (b) A dealerâs cost.
