(a) At any time during the license year, any weighmaster may replace deputies without payment of additional fees by forwarding to the department the name of any replacement deputy and replaced deputy. (b) Any weighmaster who does not furnish to the department a deputy name as required by this section is guilty of an infraction, and, upon conviction, may be punished by a fine of not more than one hundred dollars ($100). (c) A weighmaster may increase the original number of deputies by submitting a new application accompanied by appropriate fees, for the additional number of deputy licenses requested, which shall expire on the date stated on the weighmaster license.
