Applicants for marriage licenses to be sober

It shall be unlawful for any clerk who is authorized to issue marriage licenses to furnish or sell to any person or persons a license to marry at a time when either of the contracting parties is visibly under the influence of intoxicating drinks or under the influence of any kind of drugs. The parties applying for the license shall at the time be duly sober. Acts 1941, No. 404, § 1; A.S.A. 1947, § 55-210
