(a) A governmental entity legally authorized to issue general revenue bonds may create a property assessed energy improvement district by adoption of an ordinance. (b) A combination of governmental entities may create a district by each governmental entity: (1) Adopting an ordinance that provides for the governmental entity's participation in the district; and (2) Entering into a joint agreement with one (1) or more other participating governmental entities. (c) This section shall not limit additional governmental entities from becoming members of the district under § 8-15-106 . Added by Act 2013, No. 1074,§ 1, eff. 8/16/2013.
