Arkansas Code § 6-51-901

Purpose

It is the purpose of this subchapter to initiate a broad array of legislative authority whose purpose it is to: (1) Upgrade the quality and quantity of postsecondary vocational and technical education; (2) Permit the expansion of programs leading to associate of applied science degrees; and (3) Augment the Arkansas Higher Education Coordinating Board by increasing its membership that is representative of business and industry, including the service-oriented industries in Arkansas.
