Boarding and lodging

(a) (1) It shall be the duty of the Superintendent of the Arkansas School for the Deaf to furnish, or cause to be furnished, suitable and proper boarding and lodging, as well as suitable instruction, for all Deaf, deaf, or Hard of Hearing persons received as beneficiaries. (2) He or she shall receive into the school other Deaf, deaf, or Hard of Hearing persons according to such rules as the Board of Trustees of the Arkansas School for the Blind and the Arkansas School for the Deaf may prescribe. (b) (1) The Board of Trustees of the Arkansas School for the Blind and the Arkansas School for the Deaf may require the superintendent or other school official to reside at the institution. (2) The Board of Trustees of the Arkansas School for the Blind and the Arkansas School for the Deaf may provide other benefits to the superintendent out of the operation funds of the respective school.
