Electronic textbooks

(a) The Division of Elementary and Secondary Education shall have the authority to require publishers of textbooks to furnish electronic media for the text portion of those textbooks required by visually impaired students. (b) The electronic media shall be immediately capable of being electronically translated into braille or large print by computer or other electronic media. (c) When braille code translation allows, publishers shall furnish electronic media for the nontextual portion of textbooks. Amended by Act 2019, No. 910,§ 1774, eff. 7/1/2019.
