As used in this subchapter: (1) "Educational setting" means the employment setting where the licensed employee works, including without limitation: (A) A public or private school; (B) An institution of higher education; (C) An education service cooperative; (D) The Division of Elementary and Secondary Education; (E) An adult education setting; or (F) Another agency or organization that employs licensed teachers for educational purposes; (2) "Professional development" has the same meaning as the meaning given to the term under § 6-17-704 ; and (3) "Teaching experience" means the experience gained while working in an educational setting as a teacher, librarian, counselor, administrator, educational consultant, substitute teacher, or other licensed employee.
