Student performance levels

(a) The Division of Elementary and Secondary Education shall recommend student performance levels for the statewide student assessment system to the State Board of Education for its approval. (b) Student performance levels shall be adopted for the following academic content areas, including without limitation: (1) English language arts; (2) Mathematics; and (3) Science. (c) Student performance levels for academic content areas shall indicate the skills and competencies necessary for a student to be college and career ready by the completion of high school. (d) Student performance levels shall be adopted for English language proficiency. Amended by Act 2019, No. 910,§ 1301, eff. 7/1/2019. Added by Act 2017, No. 930,§ 2, eff. 8/1/2017.
