Arkansas Code § 6-15-2001

Intent

It is the intent of the General Assembly subsequent to § 6-15-2004 that: (1) Each student's progression from one (1) grade to another be determined, in part, upon proficiency in reading, writing, and mathematics; (2) District school board of directors policies facilitate such proficiency; and (3) Each student and his or her parent be informed of the student's academic progress. Acts 2003 (2nd Ex. Sess.), No. 35, § 5.
