(a) The State Board of Education shall elect one (1) of its number chair, one (1) vice chair, and such other officers as the state board deems necessary to perfect its organization. (b) The Commissioner of Elementary and Secondary Education shall act as ex officio secretary of the state board without a vote. Amended by Act 2019, No. 910,§ 1089, eff. 7/1/2019.
