As used in this subchapter, unless the context otherwise requires: (1) "Person" means any individual, firm, corporation, partnership, association, trustee, receiver, or assignee for the benefit of creditors; (2) "Sell", "sold", "buy", and "purchase" include exchange, barter, gift, and offer of contract to sell or buy; and (3) "Wholesale distribution" means the sale or distribution of motor vehicles, or any interest therein, by the manufacturer thereof or by any person, directly or indirectly owned by the manufacturer.
