(a) The officers of a water authority shall consist of a president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, and such other officers as the board of directors shall deem necessary to accomplish the purposes for which a water authority is organized. (b) The offices of secretary and treasurer may be held by the same person. (c) All officers of a water authority shall be elected by the board and shall serve for those terms of office as specified in the bylaws. (d) (1) An officer may resign at any time by delivering notice to the water authority. (2) (A) A resignation is effective when the notice is effective unless the notice specifies a future effective date. (B) If a resignation is made effective at a future date and the water authority accepts the future effective date, its board may fill the pending vacancy before the effective date if the board provides that the successor does not take office until the effective date.
