State standards - Certification

(a) After certification for use by the National Institute of Standards and Technology, the weights and measures in conformity with federal standards shall be the state standards of weight and measure. (b) The state standards shall: (1) Be kept in a safe and suitable place in the office or laboratory of the Arkansas Bureau of Standards; (2) Not be removed from the office or laboratory except for repairs or for certification; (3) Be submitted at least one (1) time every ten (10) years to the National Institute of Standards and Technology for certification; and (4) Be used only in verifying the office standards and for scientific purposes.
