Project maintenance - Application of funds

(a) Upon receipt of the warrant or warrants from the Treasurer of State, the State Highway Commission shall apply such funds to the maintenance of the project or projects on which agreements have been violated for the amount or amounts pro rata as the commission shall deem best. (b) In the event the commission has expended its own funds for maintenance of the projects, then the amounts so expended from state maintenance funds shall be replaced by funds from the warrants received from the Treasurer of State in the amount expended.
