Contracts between commission and employees

(a) Engineers, attorneys, or other employees of the State Highway Commission are prohibited from making any contract with that commission, other than their contracts of employment. (b) None shall be pecuniarily interested, directly or indirectly, in any contract made by the commission or in the location or improvement of any state road. (c) Willful violation of this section shall be deemed a felony punishable by imprisonment in the Division of Correction for not less than one (1) year.
