Application for counties

(a) A county judge in the State of Arkansas may apply for special license plates under this subchapter. (b) An application submitted under this section shall include the following: (1) The payment of a sum of one dollar ($1.00) for each motor vehicle to be licensed; and (2) An affidavit by the following that states that the motor vehicle to which the special license plate shall be attached is the property of the county and used exclusively for county business: (A) The county judge; (B) The county treasurer; and (C) The county sheriff. (c) A motor vehicle that is leased for a period of twelve (12) months or more qualifies as property of the county under subdivision (b)(2) of this section and may display a special license plate.
