(a) The special In God We Trust motor vehicle license plates shall: (1) Be designed by the Department of Finance and Administration; (2) Contain the words "In God We Trust"; and (3) Be numbered consecutively. (b) (1) Before the Secretary of the Department of Finance and Administration creates and issues a special license plate under this subchapter, one (1) of the following must occur: (A) A fee in the amount of six thousand dollars ($6,000) to cover the cost of the initial order of each newly designed license plate is remitted to the Department of Finance and Administration by the Division of Aging, Adult, and Behavioral Health Services of the Department of Human Services, a person, or other entity; or (B) The Department of Finance and Administration receives a minimum of one thousand (1,000) applications for the special license plate. (2) (A) The fee collected under subdivision (b)(1)(A) of this section shall be deposited into the State Central Services Fund for the benefit of the Revenue Division of the Department of Finance and Administration and shall be credited as supplemental and in addition to all other funds as may be deposited for the benefit of the division. (B) The fee shall not be considered or credited to the division as direct revenues. (C) The fee may be paid by any person or organization or by any combination of persons or organizations.
