(a) Before any person, firm, or corporation subject to § 26-55-702 imports for use on the highways of this state gasoline in the fuel supply tanks of any motor vehicle, or in any other container, with a gross loaded weight of twenty-six thousand one pounds (26,001 lbs.) or more, the person shall file application for and obtain a license from the Secretary of the Department of Finance and Administration. (b) The application required by this section shall be verified by affidavit and filed on a form prescribed and furnished by the secretary, stating the name, address, kind of business of the applicant, the applicant's principal place of business, and such other relevant information as the secretary may require. (c) The applications must also contain, as a condition to the issuance of the license, an agreement by the applicant to comply with the requirements of the subchapter and the lawful rules of the secretary.
