(a) The school directors of each and every school district in the state shall furnish to the county assessor a complete list, showing addresses alphabetically arranged, of all persons who under the law should be taxpayers in the school district. (b) The various school boards are authorized to pay out of the school funds of the district the expense incurred in the preparation of the list.
