(a) The Arkansas Public Service Commission shall have the full power and authority in the administration of the tax laws of this state to call a group meeting of two (2) or more county assessors at such time and place as it may designate, due notice of which shall be given by the commission. (b) (1) For attending these meetings, county assessors shall receive no compensation but shall be reimbursed for their actual and necessary expenses in attending the meeting, including only the fare necessarily spent in going to and returning from the place of the meeting. (2) When such claims are verified by oath and approved by the commission or any member thereof, they shall be presented to the county court which shall make an order showing the amount due and directing the county clerk to draw his or her warrant on the county treasurer to be paid out of any general funds belonging to the county.
