(a) As used in this section, "state agency" means any department, agency, board, commission, office, or other authority of the state. (b) The chief administrative officer of each state agency shall promulgate a policy that prohibits the integration of hardware, software, or peripherals owned by an authorized user with a state agency's network or workstation without the approval of the state agency's chief administrative officer or his or her designee.
