Eligibility for benefits - Mandatory retirement

(a) A member shall be separated from Division of Arkansas State Police employment the first day of the calendar month next following the month in which he or she attains sixty-five (65) years of age. (b) If, upon his or her separation from division employment, the member has five (5) or more years of actual service, he or she shall receive a pension provided for in § 24-6-214 .
