Unfair competition or unfair or deceptive acts or practices prohibited

No person shall engage in this state in any trade practice which is defined in this subchapter as being, or determined pursuant to this subchapter to be, an unfair method of competition or an unfair or deceptive act or practice in the business of insurance. This subchapter shall apply to policies and contracts of surplus lines insurers, as appropriate and unless the context requires otherwise.
