Railroads and express companies - Schedule of rates

(a) In order to ascertain what the regular charge of those companies are, all railroad and express companies doing business in this state are required to keep in all their offices in this state a schedule of the regular rates charged by them, which shall be open to the inspection of any person interested therein. (b) Any agent of any railroad or express company who fails or refuses to show the schedule of rates of the company to any person interested therein and allow him or her to examine the schedule of rates as provided in subsection (a) of this section is guilty of a violation and upon conviction shall be fined in any sum not less than one hundred dollars ($100) nor more than five hundred dollars ($500).
