(a) Any state agency, board, or commission that announces a layoff of state employees shall file a report as soon as possible with the Legislative Council and the Office of Personnel Management. (b) The report shall include the job titles and programs involved in the impending layoff. (c) It is the responsibility of the office and the Bureau of Legislative Research to ensure that the eliminated positions are removed from the agency's, institution's, board's, or commission's budget for the next biennium. (d) This section does not apply to institutions of higher education. Acts 2003, No. 1212, § 1.
