Attorney General approval

Every agreement made hereunder shall, before and as a condition precedent to its entry into force, may at the discretion of the Division of Children and Family Services of the Department of Human Services, be submitted to the Attorney General, who shall determine whether the agreement is in proper form and compatible with the laws of this state. The Attorney General shall approve any agreement submitted to him or her hereunder unless he or she shall find that it does not meet the conditions set forth herein and shall detail in writing addressed to the division and the governing bodies concerned with the agreement the specific respects in which the proposed agreement fails to meet the requirements of law. Failure to disapprove an agreement submitted hereunder within twenty (20) days of its submission shall constitute approval thereof. Acts 1997, No. 939, § 4.
